Observed values: 5,C,0,1,1, 10,C,0,1,1, 1,N,0,1,1, 5,U,0,1,1.
Result does not tell whether the module is usable for the calling station; lic.CheckLicense checks that.
5. Modules Without a License Entry
For a module without a license entry and for an unknown label, the response depends on Flags and on the server version:
Flags |
enaio® 12.0 | enaio® 10.10 |
|---|---|---|
|
Error |
Error |
|
Return value |
Error |
For modules with a license entry (types C, N and U), Flags = 0, 1 and 2 return the same Result (measured on two installations of 12.0 and on 10.10). Values other than 0 and 1 were not tested for modules without a license entry. The vendor does not document this behaviour.
The server message for -1042218753 reads Error in the resource administration. Component: GetASLicString, resource: <X>, error: -1, with the comment Please check the entries in the OS resources table. According to a system operator, the error creates an entry in the server’s error log; this was not measured.
A caller that has to support both server versions should treat both -1042218753 and ? in the second field of Result as "no license entry".
